World Shopping Guide: Perth, Australia

Where can you find some of the world's best dressed fashionistas? Perth, Australia!

Head into the Perth CBD and be surrounded by hip, well tailored styles, including this selection from Wheels & Dollbaby. I hope you enjoy shopping in Perth as much as I have enjoyed documenting my

favourite places for you to absorb in this beachside gem of a world-class fashion city, full of life.

Wheels & Dollbaby is an Australian made clothing line created by Perth-based, UK-born designer, Melanie Greensmith. Melanie’s first customer back in 1987 was THE star, Michael Jackson (!) and since then, her rock’n’roll/glamour clothes (primarily for women but with some slick options for men) have been favoured by the following list of celebs: Katy Perry, (below, in a Wheels & Dollbaby classic dress) plus Courtney Love, Blondie, Jerry Hall, Georgia Mary Jagger, Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, Slash, Kelly Osbourne and Nicole Richie.

Collaborations with Dita Von Teese, Ellen Von Unwerth plus Pearl & Daisy Lowe are the brand’s icing on the cake and the legend goes on! Wheels & Dollbaby is seen in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Grazia, Vanity Fair and Elle Magazine.

Together with her life partner, guitarist in Aussie band, “The Divynls,” Mark McEntee, brand owner and designer, Melanie Greensmith (below) sets the bar high with form fitting clothes with a vintage, high quality aesthetique.

When we caught up with Melanie Greensmith (above) and Mark McEntee at Etro Café in Perth recently, Mark mused that “Every day in Perth feels like you’re on holiday, because the weather is all about sun and blue skies and there are so many gorgeous beaches all around the city to choose from.” We couldn’t agree more. In Perth, a visit to the Wheels & Dollbaby pop up store at

Hatch in the Perth CBD, is a treat, with its luxurious store design and elegantly appointed interior decor. Check out the newest fashion labels at Hatch.Hatch, Shop H129, Enex Perth, 683 Hay Street Mall, Perth CBD,Phone: +61 455 087 735
